G Suite (formerly Google Apps) is a package of cloud-based services that includes access to Gmail with your preferred domain (@your_domain.com), and also other Google applications, such as Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, Hangouts, and Google+. 

The G-Suite administrator has the ability to add users to your account, activate their email, and allow them to use the Google services. They can also control the user's access to the services, turn off features and remotely manage user's company-provided mobile devices to remotely wipe lost or stolen devices as part of an enforced security to protect sensitive data.
